How often have you weighed up whether you should live with uneven, crooked or crowded teeth for the rest of your life, or face unsightly and uncomfortable braces? The thought of braces could be very discouraging, especially if you hear stories of braces causing discomfort, pain and mouth ulcers.
Invisalign – An Alternative To Braces
An alternative way of getting that perfect smile that you always desired is through Invisalign clear aligners, custom molded for you to ensure an exact fit. Invisalign is an orthodontic breakthrough, designed to gradually shift the teeth to the desired position and convert them into the perfect smile.
Now you can easily be proud of straight teeth without having to wear braces. The process involved in getting Invisalign clear aligners is very simple and cost effective.
The Invisalign Process
Dr. Zadeh will take an impression of the teeth to custom fabricate your set of Invisalign clear aligners. Generally, a patient is advised to wear a set of Invisalign aligners for a period of two weeks. After two weeks another set of Invisalign aligners are given to the patient which are slightly tighter than the previous ones. Day by day, week by week your teeth will move to the desired position. As this process is very gradual it is almost pain free. The entire treatment may last for not more than a year.
Invisalign has revolutionized the teeth alignment process. Apart from being cost effective and almost painless, Invisalign clear aligners also offer a hassle free and hygienic way of straightening the teeth. They are more comfortable as they are easily removable – one can easily brush and floss like pre-treatment days and eat and drink according to your desires. Food particles do not stick around like they do with traditional braces. Invisalign can also be removed for special outings. It ensures your freedom and you can laugh as much as you like without covering your mouth to hide that metal wire.
Taking care of Invisalign clear aligners is very simple. Every time you brush your teeth you can brush your aligners as well. They can also be soaked and cleaned in a denture cleaner while you are busy eating. It is not advisable to remove them at night. Moreover, you will feel so comfortable wearing them that the thought of removing them at night will not even occur to you.

Invisalign is proven technology designed to give you the smile you’ve always wanted, without the pain and anxiety associated with metal braces.
Invisible. Comfortable. And Removable.
To help you get a more beautiful smile, Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually move your teeth. You wear a set of aligners for about two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss. As you replace each set of aligners with the next in the series, your teeth will gradually move until they reach the position the doctor has prescribed for you. The average treatment time is about a year.
Less treatment time.
An average Invisalign course of treatment takes about a year. At regular intervals, you’ll receive a new set of custom-molded clear aligners to continue the straightening process. The total number of clear aligners is specific to you, determined by the doctor for your course of treatment.
Clear. And comfortable.
Since Invisalign is practically invisible, there’s no unwarranted attention to your mouth. In fact, very few people will notice at all – unless you tell them. They’re comfortable to wear and remove easily when you eat, brush, and floss.
Is Invisalign for Me?
Invisalign can be used to treat the vast majority of common problems for adults and teens. Whether your smile needs minor improvements or more extensive adjustments, Invisalign can certainly help. It’s successful in treating overly crowded or widely spaced teeth. It can also relieve more complex issues, including overbites, underbites and even crossbites.
Made to fit your lifestyle, not change it.
Because Invisalign uses clear plastic aligners to position and straighten teeth, you can keep your active lifestyle during treatment. Unlike braces, Invisalign aligners have no metal bands or wires to irritate your mouth. So go ahead and be as active as you like. Since Invisalign is removable, just take the clear aligners out for special events or if you’re going to indulge in a sticky, gooey snack.
Look your best during and after treatment.
Of course you want to look great, at work, at school, with friends. Maybe you speak to groups or conduct meetings. You still can. Because Invisalign is clear and nearly invisible, most people will never know you’re straightening your teeth – unless you tell them. And when your course of treatment has ended, you can feel more confident, whether in front of people or not. You’re going to have a stunning smile. All across the country, people like you now have great smiles and straighter teeth, thanks to Invisalign. Why not join them?
Invisalign Clear Braces
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth without braces. Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten teeth, without metal or wires.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign uses 3-D computer imaging technology to depict the complete treatment plan from the initial position to the final desired position from which a series of custom-made, clear “aligners” are produced. Each “aligner” moves teeth incrementally and is worn for about two weeks, then replaced by the next in the series until the final position is achieved.
What are the primary benefits of Invisalign?
Invisalign is clear. You can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing.
Invisalign is removable. Unlike braces, you can eat and drink what you want during treatment. You can also brush and floss normally to maintain good oral hygiene.
Invisalign is comfortable. There are no metal brackets or wires as with braces to cause mouth irritation, and no metal or wires means you spend less time in the doctor’s chair getting adjustments.
Invisalign allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan before you start—so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
What are aligners made of?
Aligners are made of clear, strong medical grade plastic that is virtually invisible when worn.
What do aligners look like?
Aligners are clear and look similar to tooth-whitening trays, but are custom-made for a better fit to move teeth. Some orthodontists and dentists have referred to them as “contact lenses for teeth.”
Will the treatment be painful?
Most people experience temporary discomfort for a few days at the beginning of each new stage of treatment. This is normal and is typically described as a feeling of pressure. It is a sign that Invisalign® is working—sequentially moving your teeth to their final destination. This discomfort typically goes away a couple of days after you insert the new aligner in the series.
Will wearing Invisalign aligners affect my speech?
Like all orthodontic treatments, aligners may temporarily affect the speech of some people, and you may have a slight lisp for a day or two. However, as your tongue gets used to having aligners in your mouth, any lisp caused by the aligners should disappear.
Are there restrictions on what I can eat while in treatment?
No. Unlike traditional wires and brackets, you can eat whatever you desire while in treatment because you remove your aligners to eat and drink. Thus, there is no need to restrict your consumption of any of your favorite foods and snacks. Also, it is important that you brush your teeth after each meal and prior to re-inserting your aligners to maintain proper hygiene.
Will smoking stain the aligners?
We discourage smoking while wearing aligners because it is possible for the aligners to become discolored.
Can I chew gum while wearing aligners?
No, gum will stick to the aligners. We recommend removing your aligners for all meals and snacks.
What’s the best way to clean my aligners?
The best way to clean your aligners is by brushing and rinsing them in lukewarm water.
How often must I wear my aligners?
Aligners should be worn all day, except when eating, brushing and flossing.
How often must I see the Dentist?
Usually about once every 4-6 weeks. This is the only way the doctor can be sure that the treatment is progressing as planned.
What happens after treatment to prevent my teeth from moving again?
This depends on the outcome of the treatment. Some patients might need a positioner, or conventional retainer. Other patients might need a clear plastic retainer similar to the ones Invisalign makes. Discuss these possibilities with Dr. Zadeh. Every patient is different and outcomes vary.
